All-over sequins can easily tip into looking a bit loud for a cocktail event. But this dress? It actually works. The V-neck is sharp enough to keep it looking grown-up, and the 3/4 sleeves are a lifesaver if you’re like me and refuse to fake-tan your arms in winter.
It’s a sheath fit, so it hugs everything. But thank god it’s got a bit of stretch, otherwise you’d be starving all night because you can't breathe.
Also—it's knee-length with a slit. Sounds simple, but trying to walk up stairs at a hotel bar in a tight knee-length skirt without a slit is an actual nightmare. At least you can take normal steps in this.
Toss on some chunky gold earrings, grab a martini, and you’re sorted. Perfect for a cocktail do.
